Punk rock? Heavy metal? Rock? However Perkele started in 1993 as a punk rock band, but since the start they have loved to experiment with their sound. They listened to punk rock, different styles of heavy metal, folk music and progressive music, which have been a part of their sound more or less from the beginning. Nowadays Perkele are not sure how to categorize them, but the band also don’t care.
In the late nineties Perkele released their first album and has been releasing albums packed with hits since then, which also early brought the band overseas. They have toured in the USA and Europe so far with great success. With the melodies, positive lyrics, love and energy Perkele is building up the most fantastic atmosphere live together with the audience. This is something that needs to be experienced.
