Descendents, punk titans from sunny California, will perform for the first time in the Czech Republic. Formed in 1977, the band has been a major influence on most punk bands that have come after it. Thanks to their sophisticated and intellectual approach to melodic punk and hardcore, they have been a major influence on everyone from the mainstream Green Day and The Offspring, to NOFX, Rancid and the more progressive Propagandhi and The Flatliners. Despite their intermittent existence and only 8 albums released, Descendents have managed to maintain their status as a complete cult act while still growing and being a timely revelation every time they’ve returned to the spotlight.
Joining them will be the considerably more raw but no less deserving Circle Jerks. They burst onto the scene in 1979. The founding father, main face and voice of the band since its inception has been Keith Morris – the original lead singer of Black Flag. They too have been a major influence on the development of American punk, hardcore, and alternative bands like Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Rage Against The Machine and others.
The third band of the evening will be hardcore punk veterans Negative Approach from Detroit, USA.
