Flogging Molly will visit Prague on 24.6.! Together with the legend of Irish folk-punk they will perform in Prague’s SaSaZ.
Flogging Molly, who started out as a house band at the Los Angeles venue Molly Malone’s, have gained a loyal fan base thanks to their endless touring. Over the past 20+ years, it has deservedly become a fixture on the punk scene. They kicked off their career with their seminal debut album Swagger and went on to release six more studio albums. Her most recent album, Anthem, was released in September 2022 on Rise Records and saw the band reunite with legendary producer Steve Albini, who worked with Flogging Molly on their first two albums Swagger and Drunken Lullabies. Brooklyn Vegan declared Anthem a “blockbuster,” New Noise stated that Anthem “lives up to the expectations the Celtic-punkers have built up over a decade-long career,” and American Songwriter triumphantly declared, “Flogging Molly are back.” The band has released four music videos in support of Anthem, including the current track and video for “A Song of Liberty,” a song King wrote as a narrative about a dark period in Irish history, but which is eerily timely given the events in Ukraine. A very engaging video for it was created by Ukrainian animators and filmmakers The Mad Twins https://youtu.be/ccGKjOQsEp0
